Guildford, Surrey, St Nicolas' Church c1910

Guildford, Surrey, St Nicolas' Church circa 1910. St Nicolas is at the lower end of the High Street. This church was built in 1876 on the site of an earlier building. I think the WHA postcard below called 'Lady's Chapel' may actually be 'Loseley Chapel'. Postcards by Young & Co of Teddington and WHA, click to enlarge.

  1. it's Quite An Imposing Building. And Looks An Impressive Size Inside.I Wonder ,if it gets much noisy traffic from what looks like a busy road outside?

  2. A great collection of St Nicholas. I have huge family connections to the church & was christened there at the end of the 1960s. Alas my Christening Certificate has my Mum's middle name, so I wonder if it was the same vicar!
